IEEE Expert Now Releases New Course in SLAM

IEEE Expert Now is now offering a new course in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), taught by Henrik Christensen. Sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society from the IEEE Robotics & Automation Annual Meeting, this course will provide a general overview of SLAM and the problems related to localization, mapping, and SLAM. Different methods for the representation of uncertainty will be introduced along with their ability to handle single and multi-mode uncertainty representations. Henrik Christensen is the KUKA Chair of Robotics and a Distinguished Professor at the College of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology. More information about this course—and IEEE Expert Now, the online education resource that provides the latest information on emerging technologies with a course library of 60 current courses and 20 in development—can be found here.
