IEEE news: MOVIES IN THE ROUND (Cool Stuff!)
Most of the so-called 3-D displays you've seen use stereoscopic tricks to create the feeling of depth, but it's just an illusion. Move your head, and you won't see round any corners. Now comes Holografika, a Budapest firm, that gives the real deal: a flat-panel display that exploits the principle holography to present movies that look different to people standing at different points.
